Privacy Policy

Maintainly ("we", "us") helps you track home and life maintenance tasks. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible and to keep your data on your device whenever we can.

Information we collect

Account information — your email address (and display name, if provided) when you create an account or sign in.
Your content — the homes, equipment, tasks, completion history, notes, costs, and any photos you add. Photos you attach are stored on your device and, if you sign in, synced to your account.
Purchase information — your subscription/entitlement status. Payments are processed by Apple or Google; we never receive your card details.
Usage analytics — anonymous, aggregated product events (e.g. screens viewed, features used) to improve the app.
Device information — basic technical data needed to deliver local reminders and keep the app working.

How we use it

To provide the core service: storing your tasks and sending you maintenance reminders.
To sync your data across your devices when you sign in.
To process and restore your Pro purchase.
To understand usage and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your maintenance content for advertising.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the app, under their own terms:

Neon & Railway — database hosting and backend infrastructure.
RevenueCat and Apple / Google — subscription management and payments.
PostHog — product analytics.
Plunk / Amazon SES — sending sign-in and transactional emails.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on your device and, when signed in, on our servers reached only through an authenticated, ownership-checked API. We use industry-standard measures to protect it, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Retention and deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. This erases your data on your device and on our servers. You may also email us to request access, correction, export, or deletion of your information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the UK, EU, US, and Canada), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise them.

Children

Maintainly is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
